  2. 02
    Read the active sequence

Open a sequence in Premiere and click Read active sequence in DecNow. Select the tracks containing speech, leaving music and sound effects out of the analysis.

  3. 03
    Analyze and review

Click Analyze sequence and compare the original and edited previews. Review the detected pauses in the waveform and deselect any you want to keep.

  4. 04
    Apply the cuts

Click Apply cuts in Premiere. Keep the sequence unchanged between analysis and applying cuts. DecNow creates a backup before editing and verifies the cuts against the timeline.

  5. 05
    Subscription

The free trial lasts seven days. After purchasing a plan, activate the key received by email in Settings → Activate subscription. The key uses the format DN-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX.

Tuning the detection

01Automatic or manualAutomatic mode uses the Silero speech detection model on your computer. Manual mode uses a volume threshold in dB.
02SensitivityHigher sensitivity preserves more borderline speech. Lower sensitivity removes more pauses.
03Minimum pausePauses shorter than this setting are kept. Increase it to leave longer gaps between phrases.
04Speech paddingAdds a margin before and after detected speech. The margin is aligned to whole video frames.
